Versatile range of floor sockets

Depending on the given installation situation, you have some models to choose from. We offer you a very diverse range of floor sockets. The indoor floor sockets have an IP 41 certification. They are protected of dripping water. The floor sockets for the outdoor area have an IP 67 certification and are therefore watertight. But what does watertight mean?

IP-Code

The IP Code (International Protection Marking) classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against intrusion foreign bodies, dust, and water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. The standard aims to provide users more detailed information than vague marketing terms such as waterproof. The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. The first digit indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against access to hazardous parts (e.g., electrical conductors, moving parts) and the ingress of solid foreign objects. The second digit indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against harmful ingress of water. The digit 0 is used where no protection is provided and 6 where its dust- or watertight.
